Edgar Cayce Remedies

25 10 2010

I am starting to read a book.  Something i haven’t had the time to do with kids in the house.  The book is called Edgar Cayce Remedies.  It is quite interesting.  It is written by a doctor named William McGarey M.D.  This is my first Edgar Cayce book.  I love the quote from Edgar Cayce

“The Spirit is the life,

the mind is the builder,

and the Physical is the Result”

My intention here is to take notes while I am reading, so that I have a way to find things that I thought were important.

He starts out talking about his experience as an 8 year old boy, pondering the universe.

When I was a 5 year old girl, I recall looking at a LIFE Magazine which showed photos of children in caskets in Ireland.  I asked my friend Joanne what this meant.  She was 5 years old too.  She told me that when people die, they become spirits.  If they were old when they died, they come back in spirit like they were 23 years old.

It got me pondering what happens when children die?  What is death?  Is life like these photos in the LIFE magazine?  What is reality?  Is reality spirit?  Are we all on this planet as figments of GOD’s imagination?

Is the physical dimension real?  What is reality?

Poke Root - Phytolacca decandra

Pokeweed, Pigeon Berry, Poke Root, Coakum, Pocan is one of the main ingredients in Karma Cleanse, an Eagar Cayce formulation available on EdgarCayceOnline.com and NaturalAlternativePath.com

Background: Poke is a toxic herb which may be eaten after long boiling. Medicinally, poke is used as purgative and anti-inflammatory. Poke grows in shady soil across eastern North America. The green or purple stems bearing simple leaves and white flowers that give way to purple staining berries, was used in small doses by the Indians as a blood purifier. The roots were crushed and roasted. This plant must be properly cooked or it can be toxic.

Constituents: Poke root’s main constituents include triterpenoid saponins, alkaloid, resins, phytolacic acid, tannin, formic acid, fatty oil and sugar.

Medicinal Action and Uses: A slow emetic and purgative with narcotic properties. As an alterative it is used in chronic rheumatism and granular conjunctivitis. As an ointment, in the proportion of a drachm to the ounce, it is used in psora, tinea capitis, favus and sycosis, and other skin diseases, causing at first smarting and heat.
The slowness of action and the narcotic effects that accompany it render its use as an emetic inadvisable. It is used as a cathartic in paralysis of the bowels. Headaches of many sources are benefited by it, and both lotion and tincture are used in leucorrhoea.

As a poultice it causes rapid suppuration in felons. The extract is said to have been used in chronic rheumatism and hemorrhoids. Authorities differ as to its value in cancer.

Articium Lappa, commonly known as Burdock Root is another main ingredient in Karma Cleanse.

Background: Burdock grows wild throughout much Europe and the northern United States.
Traditionally, burdock was used as a blood purifier and to treat skin sores.

Today burdock is also used as a systemic cleanser and is particularly noted
as a liver purifier and hormone balancer, especially in cases of skin, arthritic and glandular problems.

The large-leafed plant bears thistle-like red or purple flowers set in a round, fruiting head, covered with burrs. Burdock grows wild along field borders from July to September and the burrs cling to the fur of any passing animal or to a person’s clothing.
The idea for the product known as Velcro came from the sticking quality of the burrs.

According to the Cayce readings, the intended action of burdock was as a digestive stimulant to the stomach, intestines, pancreas and liver.

Burdock Root is also used in Chinese Medicine and Asian cooking. You can find Burdock Root in many asian markets.

Queen’s Delight is another main ingredient in Karma Cleanse.

In the naturalist world in North America is was used extensively for treating Syphilis.

Herbalists also use this herb as a blood purifier, digestive aid and immune enhancer.
Edgar Cayce recommended Stillingia as a blood purifier and digestive aid, especially with reference to stimulating the liver, kidneys and spleen.
I know from Chinese Medicine, the Spleen is Yellow.  The Spleen is an often overlooked organ that is instumental in the detoxifying process of the body.  An admin at work had a ruptured spleen, and had to have it taken out.  The Emergency Room doctor told her that she could get by without it.
In western medicine, there is the notion that you can get by without your spleen, tonsils, gallbaldder, appendix, etc.

In Chinese Medicine, the body organs are all related.  There is an order to them.  If you remove one of these body organs that help remove toxins from your body, the next organ in line has to take over and carry the load.
Yes, you can get by without any one of them, but in the long run, do you really want to put a load on the rest of your system?
This is where Natural Alternative Paths to well being are key.

If you lighten your toxic intake (smoking, alchohol, trans fats, pesticides, etc) then it takes a load off your system, and maybe your detoxifying body organs can regenerate themselves.  Many people go on cleansing diets in the Spring and Summer.  It’s like Spring Cleaning for your body.  Your body will thank you for it.

I updated my websites with these images, and today I’m updating the nav bars.  What I like about building websites is the artistic expression.  I am a web designer/Photoshop artist, who makes money building websites for corporations.  My websites (see list to the right) are my personal expression websites for family and friends.
In this new Global Economy, can I take my personal expressions and get them to generate extra funds to help put my kids through college?  This is my blog explore.  Is there a way to get there from here?

Wild Cherries, Wild Cherry Bark and Karma Cleanse

20 06 2009

Okay.  Now that we’ve estasblished that this is not the place for Blogging for Money, but I can write about what’s going on, let me say that I’ve opened a blog on Blogger.  I’ve decided to write about being a newbie blogger on my Blogger blog.  I’m calling it:

LAKE OSWEGO MOM

Concious Threads in a Chaotic World From Life to Near Death and Back Again

I’ve crosslinked my WordPress and Blogger blogs, and added links to my websites on my Blogger blog in my About Me.  I also added Google AdSense to my Blogger blog.  It’s all very new to me.  At least I’m a seasoned software developer, so at least I have some clues to where I’m going.  Adding links to my websites on these blogs should give them more visibility.

Back to building my website.  I am working on adding more content about Karma Cleanse for my EdgarCayceOnline.com and NaturalAlternativePath.com websites.  I went out and did an image search, and found lots of images of  Wild Cherries and Wild Cherry Bark

Wild Cherry Bark

Wild Cherry Bark

There were lots of photos of products made with Wild Cherries and Wild Cherry Bark, which is the main ingredient in Karma Cleanse.  This brings back memories of taking Vicks Wild Cherry coughdrops as a kid.  They are so good.  I have alot of Edgar Cayce research about the ingredients in Karma Cleanse since it is made from his recipe.

I will be writing about my findings on my websites about Wild Cherry and Wild Cherry Bark health benefits.  Edgar Cayce was a pioneer in this field.  Now that scientific research ahs caught up to his findings, I plan to write comparatives on NaturalAlternativePath.com
